  “Do you think about the things I did to you?” he whispered in a husky voice.

  “I did things to you too,” she said firmly, staring up at him defiantly. He smirked, leaned down further.

  “Want to remind me?”

  He’d thrown down the first move in the battle; she gladly accepted. How fast a human woman could move was a surprise for him. He felt her hands around his neck, and suddenly, his lips were on hers. He groaned, the wolf inside him howling with pleasure and relief. His hands were quick to pounce on her smaller frame and to feel her beneath the robe.

  She moaned as his hands fluttered over her naked shoulder. His fingers slipped beneath the soft fabric to caress her nearly exposed breasts. She shuddered against him in pleasure.

  “Wesley.”

  Yes, he wanted to hear his name on her lips for the rest of his life. “Stay here.” He knew he was begging. He knew he was being unfair with his lips upon her neck, kissing and sucking and buying all her attention, so that she could make sweet promises to him.

  “Wesley,” she protested, but he refused to stop his delectable assault. And she would feel every ounce of his desire for her. His hands were quick beneath the fabric, tugging the robe apart so quickly that she gasped. Before she could complain, his skilled hands were working against her, kneading her soft skin. She moaned his name again, and this time, it wasn’t in protest.

  Her desperate hands began tugging at his clothes. He helped her remove his shirt over his broad shoulders and watched her eyes glitter in delight—at a body he worked hard for. A body that he wanted her to see for the rest of her life.

  “Say you’ll stay,” he begged, his hot mouth against her neck again. She began to undo the buckle of his pants, her heavy breathing tickling against his skin.

  “Wesley.”

  “Please.” His tongue lapped at her neck, and she moaned fervently as his jeans fell to the ground. He kicked them to the side and pulled her robe open. The baby had done nothing but make her more beautiful. He worshiped her beauty, touched every curve with his rough and talented hand.

  She played with the band of his briefs, but he was too impatient. He pulled them down and pressed against her entrance. She gasped, throwing her head back as he teased her opening.

  “I’ll stay,” she said in a husky promise.

  That was all he needed.

  He entered her as his kisses became frantic against her skin, his hands holding her curves delicately against the kitchen countertop to best optimize her pleasure. He was all pleasure, no matter what. She threw her head back, she was beyond reason, beyond control, as he began to work a rhythm against her.

  She was staying. She would be his. They would be a family with their son, finally reunited in the most unconventional way.

  He was delirious as he whispered promises against her delicious cinnamon-scented skin. “Anything you want for the rest of eternity. Just tell me. Anything.”

  She laughed until she gasped at how he filled her more fully than any other man. He ramped up his pace, enjoying her heavy panting. She let out a strangled moan. He was reaching his peak. But she would come before him, he was determined.

  He held out and increased his pace, working his hands against her soft body, listening carefully to her moans. Finally, she shuddered against him and cried out in pleasure. He arrived soon after, nearly collapsing against her on the counter.

  “Together,” he said in a hoarse whisper.

  “Together,” she whispered back. He picked his head up to meet her stubborn, happy gaze. They kissed.

  Together at last.
