“I…yes. Could you help me upstairs? I’m…I’m feeling a little worn down this morning.”
He swallowed but couldn’t find the words to answer, letting his actions speak for him instead. He crossed the room to her and went to take her elbow to help her up the stairs, but she snaked a small, delicate arm around his waist instead.
He tried to imprint the moment, the feel of her pressed against his side, permanently in his memory. If this was as close as he would ever get to her, this memory would have to be enough. He turned to face her when they reached the top of the stairs.
“Is there anything else you need before I go?” She laid a hand on his arm, sending a pleasant jolt through him.
“Yes. I…I need to know if you want to kiss me.” His eyes went to her lips. Want to? He’d thought of little else from the moment she’d moved back here. At this point, it went beyond a want and well into an obsession.
“I…Alice, I can understand, after what you saw with Chris…if being around me makes you uncomfortable—”
Her full lips pressing against his cut off his sentence and shredded the will power that had been fraying with every moment that he had spent in her presence. A groan escaped him as he reached down to pull her closer, to mold her body against his.
Chapter 12
Alice smiled against Derrick’s lips as he returned her kiss. She’d been so nervous about approaching him, but this would be worth it. He reached out to pull her closer, and she could feel the hard length of his erection pressing against her stomach. Tentatively she reached out to rub her hand up the hardened bulge and opened her mouth to him more fully. A growl rumbled in his chest, and a burst of lust shot straight to her core. She stepped back and took his hand, leading Derrick toward her bedroom.
Once the door closed, Derrick lost any semblance of restraint. His mouth crashed into hers once more, and his hands caressed every inch of her as he undressed her with strong, determined hands. His touches were gentle, but firm, reverent but impassioned.
Once he had rid them both of their clothes, she smiled at him. “Lay down, Derrick.”
He did as she asked, and she straddled him on the bed before pressing her lips to his. Her hips seemed to move of their own volition, rocking against his erection with a friction that brought her to the edge of orgasm all on its own.
She slid down, determined to explore him more fully before giving in completely to passion. This was her first time with the man she was fairly certain that she would spend the rest of her life with, and she needed to make it an experience neither of them would ever forget.
Her lips explored his throat, chest, and stomach before moving lower. She pressed kisses to his hardened shaft, encircling it with one hand that moved up and down while the other hand cupped his balls gently.
Finally, she took the end into her mouth, and swirled her tongue around it, relishing the taste of his precum on her tongue. She began to move up and down, mimicking the motion that her body would soon make with his.
His every moan filled her with more desire, and soon she was lost to the rhythm they were creating with her lips and his shaft.
When he reached down and dragged her up to catch her mouth in a kiss, she was so wet that it was easy to slide onto his shaft despite its size. She began to rock up and down, slowly at first, then faster.
Alice felt the instant that Derrick finally lost control. His hands grabbed her hips tightly, bringing her down on him faster and faster before he finally flipped them both and sunk his length deep into her.
His every movement felt amazing, made her wish the moment would never end. When the orgasm finally came over her it rocked her entire being. She writhed against him and was unable to stop the cries that escaped her lips. His hips pumped a few final times before she felt him pulsing, filling her.
It was earth-shattering, life-changing, perfect.
A few moments later, he did the only thing that could make the moment more perfect. She was on her side, with his warm, strong body wrapped around her. She felt his stubble against her neck when he brought his mouth closer to her ear.
“Alice Hampton, marry me. Stay with me.”
She smiled, happy tears filling her eyes. “Yes, Derrick. Yes.”
She drifted to sleep safely in the arms of her future husband. Who would have thought, when she got that call a few months ago, that every step would be leading her here? Home, and into the life she’d always been meant to live.
